Where the analysis becomes less secure is in explaining what produced the apparent surge. Bots and crawlers running on Linux are offered as a possible contributor, but the video does not establish that they actually caused the reported jump. Likewise, its assertion that a combined OS X/macOS share near 30% “ain’t true” is accompanied only by a vague recollection that Apple’s real share is closer to 15% or 16%.
